Salans and Pinsent Masons announce alliance
INTERNATIONAL LAW firms Salans and Pinsent Masons have announced an alliance that will see them refer work to each other and collaborate on multi-jurisdictional bids.
With offices in the US, UK, Europe and China, Salans is especially well-established in the economies
of central and Eastern Europe (CEE), where its offices include Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Kiev, St, Petersburg, and Azerbaijan capital Baku.
Both firms have offices in London and the East Asian economic centres of Beijing , Shanghai and Hong Kong, while Pinsents also has a presence in Dubai and Singapore, as well as five other major cities in the UK.
Key sector strengths for both firms include energy and real estate − high-growth areas for emerging markets − while Pinsents also has a leading technology practice and Salans specialises in corporate, banking and international arbitration.
Salans global chairman Stephen Finch said of Pinsents: “Their sector experience complements ours, and we will now be able to offer much greater resources across key industries and jurisdictions, especially in the UK, the Gulf region and Asia.”
Chris Mullen, Pinsent Masons senior partner, added that the deal presented “a compelling offering to pan-European and international panels for large cross-border projects”.
