EAPD announces new managing partner
US LAW firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge (EAPD) has elected corporate lawyer Walter G. D. Reed as the firm’s new managing partner.
Reed replaces outgoing co-managing partners Terrence M. Finn and Charles E. DeWitt, Jr., who have led the firm since the 2005 merger of Edwards & Angell and Palmer & Dodge. “I look forward to leading the firm in extending our reach and continuing to enhance our ability to serve clients worldwide,” he said.
Reed joined EAPD in 1981, serving on the firm’s Executive Committee for 11 years before becoming chair of the committee in November 2005.
On 1 January 2008 Boston-based EAPD acquired a London office through a merger with Kendall Freeman.
Kendall Freeman was formed in 2003, when 13 partners left what was then DJ Freeman to join the firm Olswang. The merger with EAPD saw former Kendall Freeman managing partner, Laurence Harris, become EAPD’s “partner in charge” in London.
