Frances Murphy replaces Saul as the head of the firm’s corporate department, while David Waterfield succeeds Graham White as head of commercial real estate. Richard Clark and Jonathan Fenn replace Elizabeth Barrett and Eddie Codrington in dispute resolution and pensions and employment respectively.
Four practice heads were re-elected for a further three-year term – Tony Beare in tax; Malcolm Nicholson in competition; Steve Cooke in M&A; and Andrew Balfour for financing.
The firm has also announced its new 11-strong partnership board, including Saul, White (as executive partner) and new practice partner Paul Olney. Practice heads Murphy, Balfour and Cooke are also on the board, alongside five new partners – Roland Turnill, Craig Cleaver, Steve Edge, Philippe Chappatte and Richard Clark. All the appointments came into effect on 1 May 2008.
