DLA Piper hires fifth Heller Ehrman corporate partner
INTERNATIONAL LAW firm DLA Piper has hired the fifth partner to join its corporate and finance group from Heller Ehrman LLP in two months.
Craig Andrews has joined the firm’s San Diego office, following in the footsteps of Michael Kagnoff, Martin Nichols, Jeffrey Thacker and Ross Burningham, all of whom joined the same group in April 2008.
Andrews’s expertise centres on emerging companies and deals, with a background spanning biotechnology, electronics, energy and retail.
“Craig’s history of leadership in the San Diego market and his reputation as a skilled mentor will be of tremendous benefit to our talented, younger corporate attorneys,” said Jay Rains, co-chair of the firm’s global corporate and finance practice group.
“His longstanding relationship as a colleague of the partners who recently joined us in San Diego, will translate into a seamless integration with the firm’s corporate practice,” added U.S. managing partner Terence O’Malley.
DLA Piper’s international corporate and finance practice numbers over 800 lawyers worldwide.
