DLA Piper launches trainee internet portal
DLA PIPER has launched an internet portal for its future trainees.
‘Inside the Tent’, which works in a similar way to the popular social networking sites Facebook and Bebo, is an exclusive service for future trainees to communicate with the firm’s graduate-recruitment team as well as one another.
“DLA Piper has always placed great importance on keeping in regular contact with its future trainees,” says Sally Carthy, head of graduate recruitment at the firm. “We want people to feel part of the organisation as soon as they accept a training contract with us. We hope that this site will encourage even greater interaction before the training contract begins.”
Through the portal, trainees will have access to a range of information, from firm news and updates, to upcoming events and social activities, as well as a monthly newsletter and other important information.
“The new portal fits with DLA Piper’s sustainability initiative, as it means we no longer have to post out printed materials and information to nearly 200 future trainees on a monthly basis,” Carthy added.
