LexisNexis buys Axxia
LEXISNEXIS, THE global provider of business information solutions, has announced the purchase of Axxia, a back-office and integrated solutions provider for mid-sized UK law firms.
The acquisition will enable LexisNexis to offer customers a fully integrated workflow-based practice management solution, enhanced with the relevant content for the UK’s medium-sized legal sector. It brings the company one step further in its objective of becoming a comprehensive solutions business, and follows the company’s 2006 acquisition of the mid-law market case management front-end solution provider Visualfiles.
“LexisNexis already offers a practice management total solution in the US and we are keen to bring this successful approach to the UK,” says Josh Bottomley, managing director at LexisNexis UK. “We have seen this comprehensive business solution bring tangible benefits to clients integrating everything they need to excel in the business and practice of law.”
Stuart Holden, managing director at Axxia, added that with both Visualfiles and Axxia in the LexisNexis suite of offerings, the company could offer customers “an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and experience across a broad range of markets”.
