WFW moves into Milan
INTERNATIONAL LAW firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has opened an office in the fashion capital of Milan.
A team of four associates are based at the office, with plans for further expansion both there, and at the firm’s other Italian office in Rome.
Both offices are led by Eugenio Tranchino, a partner in the firm’s international corporate group. Tranchino is already head of the Rome office.
The firm appreciated “the benefits of providing sophisticated legal support on the ground in important expanding markets”, he said.
“Clients really value this, and the expansion of the firm’s services in the Italian market, combined with its first-class capabilities on a global scale, cements our presence within the legal market.”
The office’s main work will be the financial aspects of deals and projects in the energy, shipping and transport sectors – all key focuses for WFW, which employs some 200 lawyers around the world.
WFW’s other offices include New York, Paris, Athens, Hamburg and Singapore.
