Freshfields names new HR partner
MAGIC-CIRCLE law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed a new global HR partner.
An employment partner since 2005, Caroline Stroud will be based primarily in London, and will continue client work alongside new responsibilities for implementing the firm’s global HR strategy. Current HR director Tim Cole will remain at the firm, assuming a role with more emphasis on partner development.
Chief executive Ted Burke commented: “Caroline is a highly valued practitioner and has a set of skills that make her exceptionally well qualified for this role.”
Stroud will take up the new role from May 2008. “I am very excited by the opportunity to contribute to the firm in such a fundamental way and am looking forward to working with colleagues across our international network,” she said.
The appointments also follow news the firm’s former managing partner and chief executive, Hugh Crisp, is leaving to chair the international advisory board of the Said Business School at Oxford University.
